Opinions of schools please!
« on: May 22, 2009, 01:36:17 AM »
Hi All!

Can anyone offer opinions of the three following London universities?
Uni of Westminster; Birkbeck,Uni of London; and King's College

We're looking at masters programs in Human Resources Management or International Human Resources.

Any thoughts on reputation, or anything else for that matter?

I'm not familiar with any of those programmes in those schools. Both Birkbeck and King's College have good reputations in my area of humanities (philosophy/theology).

I don't have any personal opinions on the universities, but you could check the league tables. The UK loves their league tables!

Birkbeck and Kings are both part of the University of London. The U. of London is an umbrella organisation that incorporates a group London unis including LSE and UCL. Birkbeck is geared towards mature students, and offers lots of part-time, and evening courses.

University of Westminster is a newer university and former polytechnic, so will offer more vocational courses. There is a separate business school within the uni.

As others have suggested, I would definitely check the league tables.
