Is There Any Other Information...?
« on: July 02, 2004, 05:46:31 AM »
So, I've almost completely filled out my fiance visa form.  To be honest, I did this months ago, but there is one section I've been putting off.  Mainly because I'm not sure what to write.  It says, 'Is there any other information you wish to give about your application?' You know?  The essay looking part? :-\\\\

Do I leave this blank?  Or should I write something?  If so, what do I write?  Is this a weighted question ???...Am I going to get 'dinged' for writing something they think is dumb or pointless?  Help guys :-[

Also, we pretty much have all of the necessary documents, but I remember reading somewhere that I would need to bring his passport with me.  He has his birth certificate to prove his citizenship, but will this do?  Or do we absolutely need his passport?  And will his first passport be good enough or will it need to be his current one?  See, he has a bit of a problem with this considering he will need to fly here at the end of September, and if it gets lost...:-\\\\  He says there is a back log and also something else about ugly new passports :P

I'm going for my visa at the end of the month, so I'm trying to put everything in folders and get it ready now.  I know everyone says its easy to get your fiance visa, but I'm still worried.  So, any and all suggestions would be welcome.  Thanks guys.

If there is anything exceptional (i.e., unusual or unorthodox) in your application, you would use that area to comment on it.  You would also use that area to explain anything about your application that the ECO should consider before reaching a decision.   If you have a special need for a translator, for example.  If you downloaded your form from the Internet, sometimes it's helpful to put down where you got it.  Otherwise just leave it blank.  It's not something to spend a lot of time worrying about.

Your fiance's passport should be included.  Or a certified copy of each non-blank page needs to be made.
