Happy 4th of July!

It feels so strange to be in this country on the 4th.  I feel a bit disconnected from the holiday.  However, I have lucked out and live with roommates that are a bit American, Mom was from California, so we are having a huge BBQ (I am ignoring the English weather).  The one thing I will miss is almost blowing my fingers off trying to light the latest and collest firework.  hehe
