UK-side Assistance?
« on: July 10, 2009, 09:03:27 PM »
We are finally able to get our dog over here (yay!). Our friend who has been taking care of our dog is willing and able to do the finishing touches in the US to get our dog to the airport and hand him over, ready for export...in Nashville. Does anyone know how we can get our dog from, say, London (or wherever the route gets him into the UK) to Glasgow without requiring one of us to go down there?

I just flew into Heathrow and hired someone through PBS to drive me and my three pets to Newcastle.  It was expensive (345GBP), but worth it for me.  I think some people have also arranged for their dogs to be transferred and fly up.

I have the same issue- need to get my cats from Heathrow to Edinburgh. I think I am going to fly down to Heathrow and pick them up myself. I'm hoping that they can just fly back to Edinburgh on the plane with me...I haven't really looked into any train or car options.

Let me know what you end up doing.
