Traveling to Nice, France

Hi~

Has anyone traveled to Nice, France lately? I am looking to stay in a budget--yet relatively nice hotel for my vacation/holiday. Also, we are looking to rent a motorcycle to go from Nice to St. Tropez--any recommended rental places would be of great help as well!

I was in Nice in May.  Unfortunately, I can't tell you much, because I wouldn't recommend our hotel we stayed in (I think it was a Clarion hotel?)
Enjoyed walking around. We took public transportation everywhere, it cost us only like 1 euro each to get to Monte Carlo by bus. But for some reason from the airport it was 4 euro each, a much shorter journey.  Picked a random group tour to go on-One of those all day things. We enjoyed it, candy factories, beaches, etc.

Have fun! I imagine it will be roasting hot this time of year, since it was scortching in May.

Can't help on the hotel front, but I'll second the bus info.  My in-laws live 30 min from Nice and it's bus system is amazing.  It's all super cheap and you can get on other buses within a certain time-frame.  You can get up into Italy for only a couple Euro when you time it right! -just food for thought.

We were in a budget chain (Kyriad Nice Port? I think).  It was fine--a very standard ** hotel.  It was really well situated and the continental breakfast worked well for us.

I LOVED Nice--I went with a great bunch of friends, and it was lovely and sunny.
