"replies to your posts"
« on: July 22, 2009, 03:14:43 PM »
I think I read on here that I can remove items from "show new replies to your posts" by going back my last post, on whatever subject, and removing it. Will that work?
I'll try it and hope it works because it is a chore to do.

OK that doesn't work because on going back it doesn't give the option to remove the post after a given period.

Any ideas?

Why do you want to do that?  You can click on 'mark all topics as read'. Or you can just look at 'unread topics since last visit'.

I think he is trying to get it so that if he has posted on a topic a long time ago, he doesnt want it to show up as "new replies to his post" since he doesnt care about that ongoing thread anymore. (like on the game posts or other similar ones).

I wish there was a way to do this too.

Yup. Me also. Eventually, the ancient and eternal threads like IA clutter up my new replies long after I've ceased to follow the conversation.

There is a module to ignore threads (so they don't show up in those lists), but it's for the new/unfinished version of the forum. :(

I guess I just have a built in ignore button in my head.  Can't you just skim over what you aren't interested in?
