Interview Jitters
« on: July 18, 2004, 05:46:25 AM »
Whooo! Got an interview (via telephone) for this coming Thursday. I am sooo nervous!  I hope I get it cause it would be sweet to transfer instead of quitting and trying to get rehired by my company.

Fingers crossed  ;)

Good luck!!!  Just be yourself  I am awful in interviews, so nervous.  Try having a friend take the interviewer role, it helped me a lot!

Well, I didn't get the job I interviewed for, but they did offer me another job in the same department!  Yay.  I start on 23rd August and I am really looking forward to it. They guy I'll be reporting too sounds nice and is flexible with start times :)  The only drag is that it is in Taplow and I'll need to use the train until we get a car.  Oh well, thems the breaks!!

Well, I have now been at my new job for 2 weeks and so far so good. I'm still a bit nervous as I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. My boss is nice and my coworker is nice. The commute is a b^%*&! I start at 9 but i have to leave my house for 6:30 to get there on time.  I also have to walk from the train station to the office and between stations in Windsor.  The only good thing is that I must be burning off the calories cause I've lost about 10lbs since I moved here.  I am busily looking for a car too, cause the dang rail card costs me £45.20 a week. Oh well. I would buy a monthly, but I think my husband is getting his own car soon so he can give me a lift to work! Thanks for everybody's good wishes!
