How funny,  sounds like the Central Valley of California is taking over. :)  I am originally from Texas.  Moved to San Fran when I was 18, and soon after moved to the valley, Turlock first then Merced.  I graduated from Stanislaus before relocating to Leeds (UK) to work on my Graduate degree.  If I am forced to move back to the States  :-[ in Oct. I think I will be moving back to Turlock.

I am fining it quite interesting seeing so many Americans living in the UK and yet I have only ever met one while being here.  I must have relocated to a very non American community.  hehe

I am the only one around here too. When I speak peoples heads turn. Funny as my hubby never notice, I do as its the same look I used to get when I heard the Brit accent. Now I would do it with an American accent
Home is where your heart is, mine is now in Cheshire.
