What's this new pencil and paper thing?

I noticed on my posts today that near the bottom right corner of my posts, there's a new little white square with what looks like a pencil coming off of it. I didn't see a label when I put the cursor over it, so I clicked and got a green box at the top of the page that said "Loading..." It was taking forever, so I just went to a new page and it stopped. What is this?

It's  a quick modify your post button.
It should go from the green loading thing to a 'modify your post type thing, modify your post then save.

It never works for me when I try to modify my post. Mine is a yellow pencil, not green. I can modify by clicking the one above the box, but if I click on the one Belita's talking about I get the same 'Loading' message and it never lets me modify the post.

Gotcha. Not very quick for me, though. It was about 3 minutes before I gave up. It's cute, but not sure I understand the point of it since it's just as quick to go to the "modify" button even if it worked properly.

Really?  It's almost instant for me.  Like a quick reply box in the middle of thread.

It's no biggie though.  If there's another button that works for you then I'd go with that.

Just testing ... but I don't see one of those on mine.

ETA: Never mind, I see it now! But, like Belita's, it took FOREVER (in the American sense  ) to load, so I also think I'll just stick with the good ol' modify button.

Are you making fun of me? Chloe is very protective of me. She may just unfriend Willie! I don't think we need to make the kitties choose sides.

Chloe had a hard time with that yesterday, so I helped her bring up a pic that was on my Facebook. It's a picture of her on her favorite spot at my parents' house, the copier! She thinks that will be good until she can figure out how to get up a closer picture. She thinks Willie is handsome.
