Importing food items from USA to UK
« on: September 21, 2009, 06:33:09 PM »
Hi All -

We just launched Bundle Box, a new shipping service from USA to UK. We are getting lots of requests for importing food items from the USA into the UK, and we are working on setting up a service that just does that.

Any suggestions on what food items we all should include? so far especially candies are popular requests

many thanks for your help

andre

For DW - sweet & low sweetener! Not sure what's wrong with UK sweetener as I don't use
it!

dill pickles are in demand.

have you looked at some of the other sites that sell American products in the UK to see what they offer?

High-end jarred salsas, such as Frontera (chipotle flavor, please!).

I cannot belive it's not butter-Spray. The spread is here, but the low (or close to no calorie) spray is not.

I'd probably take a walk down a low-fat ailse of a supermarket and take 75% of it...
Especially: Quaker Oats, weight control oatmeal
Fiber One cereal bars--especially caramel and peanut butter flavor
Various baked potato chips/crackers

Tom's of Maine toothpaste--available in Whole Foods of London I hear, but not up here...

I'm sure I'll think of more soon...

The only foods I miss enough to buy via mail-order are Cheetos, Kraft Mac n Cheese (I loves my bright orange cheez), and Hidden Valley Ranch dressing.

One thing I haven't noticed on any of the other, similar sites is Bush's Baked Beans (Country or Boston style).

Another thing would be extra-wide egg noodles.  The American kind, not Asian-style ones, which are all I've ever found in UK grocery stores.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about dancing in the rain.

Campbell's soups
Try looking for Batchelors condensed soup...they used to be called Campbell's until a few years ago.  I could live on their tomato soup!

I'll second the triscuits and also add cheez-its.
Lipton onion soup mix
Dry packets of ranch dressing
TBH I probably wouldn't buy much though as I'm quite cheap and always find the prices on imported items too dear.
