We need to plan pre-show drinks!

Definitely!!

I am doing a bit of research to find a relaxed pub to grab a few drinks in, that won't be super touristy or over-priced.  Suggestions welcome!

I'm not an expert on London. Sorry! Is there anywhere nice close to the theatre?

Sorry Karin, I'm also no expert on London, so we're going to need your local expert opinion!  ;D

We're putting our trust in you!

I did a Google search for Leicester Square pubs but, even reading reviews, it's hard to tell what's good and what isn't without actually being on the ground.

Any ideas about drinks yet?? I'm arriving into London in the afternoon, so I have plenty of time before the show!

We don't have a huge amount of time, but certainly enough for a drink before the show! I'm not sure what time our train arrives, but we have to get to the hotel and check in and all that before drinks. Still, it's definitely on! I hope?

OK...Here goes.  I have been to this pub/bar twice.  It was at least a year ago, but I remember it being nice, but can't remember if I had trouble getting a table.  It's in Soho and about a 5 min walk to the theatre (5-6 blocks).  I will call and see if we can reserve a table if everyone likes the look of it.

Who is coming and how many people will be with you?

The show starts at 7:30, so we probably want to be at the theatre around 7:00 to collect tickets and stuff.  Is 6:00 ok to meet?  Or if everyone will be around earlier, I can manage that too.  Just need to let the babysitter know.

That looks great, K! I just looked at our train tickets and we arrive at 1:30-ish. For some reason, I thought it was much later! So we have plenty o' time if everyone wants to meet up earlier.

It'll be me and DH, so two of us.

Great! Thanks for also reminding me that I need to find out where the theatre is located.  :P  It's just me coming, but I'll talk to my friends to see if they will be in town early enough for drinks.

I forgot to say that my flight arrives at 13:10, so I should be in town around 2ish. If you wanted to meet a bit earlier to have something to eat too I'd be up for that if anyone is interested.

Okay, my friend's aren't coming to London until after work, so I'll probably just meet them at the venue. That means it's just me for drinks!

If you guys are up for meeting earlier, I could get into the city by about 5pm.  Does that sound good?  We probably wouldn't need to reserve a table if we went before the afterwork crowd got there.

Totally up to the out of towners.  Understand if you want to go shopping or sightseeing for a bit in the afternoon.

I'll be the one with the large glass of white wine in my hand and a relaxed look on my face.  :)

I'll PM you with my contact details.  I think I still look like my photo, hair is just a bit shorter.
