No, thank you. I already had one today.

You had a dove? lol

The question was How's your doves?

The question was How's your doves?

Doves as in the avian symbols of peace?  Is that a commonly asked question?

Les yeux dans les mêmes reflets,

Tu seras mon unique projet.

Yea doves as in the eating kind. Doves (pidgeons) were once a big thing up here, witness all the doocots up this neck of the woods.

Q  Fou's yer doos? = How's your doves (pidgeons)?
A  Ay' peckin' or peckin' awa' = always eating (basically if your pidgeons are eating, everything is well)

Another well used greeting is 'fit like, loon? What like, man?
Nae bad or jus chavin awa' = not bad or just working away

It's quite a common form of greeting (my friends and other people I know tend to use these phrases) It wouldn't really be asked of outsider.

I might just create my own language...and talk to myself in it...so none of them can understand me...see how they like that.  Hmph!

;D Aye. You could do that.  ;)

I am loving these!  Even though I'm sure this language/dialect won't be spoken near where I am.  Still fun to hear though.

My husband just sent me a thing yesterday on how to speak Brummie.  He thinks I'm going to develop a combination of a New York/Brummie accent.  I guess that'll be my own language than no one will understand.

And I've found that they understand most American slang (probably from TV).  However, my husband also thought it was hilarious when I said "Awesome". (Which I say all the time.) Awesome. :D

Hahaha, yeah I'll be creating my own dialect.  You should too Mistress.  A combination of a exaggerated Southern accent mixed with a Northern English accent would be AWESOME. :D Hahahahahahahahaha.

DH's accent varies a lot, according to his audience. He can speak quite posh with academics etc. But after he'd spent a weekend with his mother in the Midlands he'd come back with what sounded to me as "sloppy" English. But he can also adapt pretty well to Yorkshire and Geordie when called for.

LOL a few decades of drug abuse would help to get Ozzie's accent. I'd have pointed you towards this guy...

Yea old Jasper was really good in his day. I may be wrong but I don't think he does any stand-up shows these days more. I was flipping throught the channels the other day and saw him. Presenting some game show. Man what a waste. But I suppose it's quite hard to stay on top as a comedian. And games shows probably provide a steadier income.

Very sad, but true...
