Whoa. Sad! But even the reporter said it looked unreal. I wonder how someone finally discovered he was real? Freaky.

Smell?   :o

I can see people thinking it was a prop. But that meant nobody had gone by to see the old guy. Nobody noticed that his lights never came on. Or went off. That is sad.
Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

It is really sad. You would think one of the neighbours would recognise that it was the guy who lived there. No one would make a Halloween dummy that looked like themselves, that is just too creepy.

We are speaking CA...but seriously if the 'prop' was face down, you'd might not see it as anything other than a prop. Specially as  'that must be a prop, surely somebody'd called somebody' might have been the general chat.

If I haven't seen the old guy that lives next door in a day or two, I make it a point of asking his neighbour on the other side if they have. He's 70+, fairly fit but not the healthiest one on the block.

When I was living in an apartment in the US, an old woman who lived next door to me died in her apartment. After she hadn't been seen going in or out for a couple of days, neighbours called the police who broke into the apartment and found her lying dead on the floor.
