Toby Keith

I have 3 different shows planned for next month. Music - Toby Keith, Maxwell  and one Theatre - The stage adaptation of Shawshank Redemption, trouble is I'm going on my own to see Toby, can't get a soul to come along with me.  It might be my only chance to see him here unless I catch one of his shows in the US when next I happen to be there.

Anyone here likes country music and have friends and family who think you are a little strange.  Mum likes country, but more the old style people from waaaaaaay back, so she doesn't like Toby nor get him.

Sad state of affairs eh?

I love Toby! In fact I was just in Las Vegas in September and my favorite bar there is Toby Keith's I love this Bar and Grill! In Harrah's Casino. When is the show? I didn't even know they had country music concerts in the UK! I'll have to check it out. My husband is a huge country music fan as well. It's actually part of how we met. 

He's not coming to Birmingham, is he??  I'd love to see him, my DH is a fan as well...

I have turned my husband onto Country music...I've even convinced him that NOBODY in the US actally calls it 'Country & Western' music...his favorite country artist is Toby Keith! See, it pays to have a redneck in the family. 

  I absolutely Love Contemporary Country Music     I would say its pretty much all I listen to with a wii bit of other music in there.      I saw Keith Urban here in the UK in 2005 but he wasn't classed as Country but as Rock instead.       Some of my family used to make fun of me for listening to Country music like Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts,& Kenny Chesney but now that Keith Urban & the others are huge now the ones that made fun of me listen to there music now go figure lol!!

My facebook photo was taken in there! I love the fact that they serve drinks in mason jars. I took 2 of them home with me  . A girl I went to highschool with works in there. I didn't know until I walked in and saw her working. It was a nice surprise.

Toby's show was awesome  .  Even better news, The 43rd CMA awards is being shown tonight (18th) on film24 on sky channel 157.  Don't know what channel on cable or other carriers.  Will be repeated on Sunday.   

Won't spoil it for those who don't want to know yet, but I'm chuffed about Darius Rucker.

Thanks, I'm going to watch the CMA awards on Sunday. I just saw Derius on Oprah a few nights ago and I love that guy!

Well what a load of twaddle.  I have never seen anything so lame.  These new people are killing country music.

Yeah, saw Martina McBride a couple months ago at the venue inside the O2 centre. She was pretty good!

Really? I didn't see the award show so I don't know what you mean by lame. I think he sounds just about as country as Rascal Flatts, Allen Jackson, Keith Urban, and definitely more country then Kid Rock just to name few.
