Coat hooks
« on: November 04, 2009, 10:47:32 AM »
I'm looking for some coat hooks (with a minimum of 4 hooks) to hang in the front porch, ideally with a shelf above. Something like this:

... but that one costs £85, which is way too much!

Argos has decent coat hooks for around £8, but without a shelf above.

I've been Goggling until my fingers hurt! Does anyone know where I can find what I want?

Oooh oooh, my local Quality Save always has those kinds of things in the front of the shop, and ones with baskets in them. I love them! Also, Cotswold company probably has them, as does Ikea.

No luck at Cotswold - I'd already checked there. Though I suspect their prices would be higher than I'd like to pay. I was sure somewhere like Argos, B&Q or Homebase would have what I was looking for for £20 or less, but no luck at any price. I don't know what Quality Save is, but am fairly sure we don't have them down south. Ikea ... I'm just not a fan of the Ikea look. Blech. Sorry.

chary - eBay?!  You'd be surprised what you can find.

I had thought about TK Maxx, but only if you want to go trawling through ten stores' junk to maybe, possibly find it.

We need five coat stands for our office, but my boss wants to pay less than 20.00.  If you come across any in your search let me know.

Glad you found what you wanted. I was going to suggest Homebase. We picked a similar one up from there last year.  :)

Do you mean like a coat tree? I was really only looking for wall-mounted ones.

Yeah, if you see any cheap cheap ones in passing please let me know!  I am not going to worry about it though.

We just had the same issue!!! We ended up buying the coat rack (wall mounted) from B&Q and then a wire rack for hats, etc from Ikea.  I think the coat rack was about 8 quid and the hat rack about 6...

And am still paitently waiting for hubby to put them up... apparently he couldn't until he got a new drill.... hahaha, boys and their toys.
