TMZ is claiming Brittany Murphy died last night

Well I think it's pretty rude. She just died today, there's been no official word about the cause of death. 

You're right.  I apologize.  If a healthy 32 year old died of a heart attack, for no reason, that's a real tragedy. I have no facts as of yet, and stand corrected.

Just because she is an actress doesn't mean she died because of drugs!

No, I don't think so.  She has a history of drug abuse and I *will* be surprised if it isn't that.  I am not necessarily speculating just stating my opinion that I would be surprised if it was a "normal" heart attack.  It is really sad either way and if she has died because of drugs it certainly doesn't make me think less or more of her.

I don't know anything about her except that she was in Clueless but there could be any number of reasons for someone to go into cardiac arrest and I just don't think it's very nice to sit here and gossip and pass judgement on someone who just died a few hours ago. Guess I'll ignore this thread from now on. |

MSN is saying she died too...they also said she was widely rumored to have a heavy drug problem..my sister said they said she was fired from a recent movie because she was being difficult...so I guess we will have to wait and see...I was shocked when I saw the story..

I didn't think drugs anyway, but had another suspicion, she looks very thin in recent pictures poor, poor girl. Whatever the reason it's very tragic, as she seemed very happy with her new husband and is so young.

So what if it was drugs or anorexia or both?

A young woman is dead and her family is going to have to have Christmas without her. Let's show a little respect.

Anyone making assumptions about her presumed lifestyle contributing to her early death.

I'm not familar with her, but I recognise the name. To die that young is a tragedy, no matter the cause.

ALL 5 of the children in my father's families had heart attacks in their 30s.

No drug use or alcohol abuse.

My first cousin, my dad's older brother's only daughter, died age 39 from a heart attack.

Her only indication anything was wrong is the morning of her death she had a strange metallic taste in her mouth and felt 'weird' according to her description.

At around 9PM she set up in her chair and gasped for her husband to ring an ambulance.

She then collapsed back and was in full cardiac arrest.

Her husband was performing CPR when the ambulance arrived a few minutes later.

All efforts to revive her failed.  An autopsy revealed advanced coronary arterial disease. 

She left behind her bereft husband, Alberto, and a two-year-old daughter, Sara.

Sergei Gringov, a world-champion figure skater, died on the ice during a practice session age 28.

No history of drugs or alcohol abuse.

We have no idea what this young woman's family history is.

All we know is that she is believed to have died from a heart attack and she was only 32.

Which is very, very, very sad.
