Silly trendy xmas tunes
« on: December 24, 2009, 02:49:45 PM »
Okay they aren't that bad but so annoyed I can't get internet radio US based (stupid law) just for those traditional xmas tunes I am used to... white Christmas, Nat King Cole... its all TakeThat and Kiley on FM radio for xmas music today.. I know I should just buy an album and play it but still wanted to whine, never thought that the xmas hits would be so modern pop here.

Collen, are you sure?  I didn't try streaming any of the Harrisburg muisic stations last winter, but I did listen to every PSU football game via the streaming radio station out of state college.

Was after just a xmas song playlist, streaming from the web on my radio app but they are all Non-US internet radio. Had a look for US Xmas Radio and couldn't find any. But will keep my eyes peeled and maybe someone on here has a link to share. I know they banned internet radio stations to its harder to find a radio station that streams only holiday tunes on their website

I've never had any problem listening to US radio stations online from the UK before (and I also used to listen to Radio 1 and my local UK radio stations online when I was living in the US) - maybe it's worth doing some searching around for different US stations playing Christmas songs if you can't access the one you're used to listening to?

Just did an online search for US radio stations playing Christmas songs and I've managed to listen to Christmas songs on 3 different US radio stations in the last 5 minutes  :-\\\\.

thanks, I meant through my iphone with the internet radio apps, anyone can create an internet radio (thats illegal now in the states without royalty fees) and you get them on your phone (which I play in kitchen.  Because AM and FM stations pay royalties they can stream their broadcast online  but I have to run the computer for that. Its confusing but they are two different mediums, I just couldn't find any shoutcast streams playing american xmas music.. if that makes sense
