My husband is the anti-kick
« on: December 29, 2009, 04:07:56 PM »
So the babies are now big enough that when they kick, you can feel it through the stomach. A couple of times I've even seen my belly jump when they kick.

However, poor Jon seems to think I'm making it all up because every single time he goes to feel the kicking, they stop. It's as if they're playing some game with daddy.

It's become a bit of a joke now, if they're kicking when I want to go to bed, I go sit near Jon just to get them to stop.

I feel kind of bad for him.

:D Same thing happened with Philip, he didn't believe me! Then one morning we were laying in bed and he saw my stomach wiggle on its own, and he became a believer. :D
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

Yeah, that seems to be par for the course.  The little one would kick me like.. once.  I'd ask DH to take a feel, and someone would go back to sleepsies.  Of course, this close to being born, the little one has nowhere to hide from daddypats... *grins*

Yeah, Daddy's hands stop the kicking immediatly.

My husband always makes me laugh, all through my first pregnancy, and this one, he felt the baby kick ones and says...Eh, once was enough.

I had the exact opposite with my DD. She must have been able to sense when hubby was near because she'd move to get closer to him and then she'd reach up and poke his hand!

Hee hee, my mom says I was like this.  When my (step)father was near, I'd wiggle and kick like mad!  ;D

DD was like that.  One night I came to bed and rested my bump against his back and she went and gave him the biggest kick - since then we knew she'd be trouble regardless (and we were right)!   ;D

This one was pretty shy of DH at first, but gradually I'd just pull his hand over to feel baby kick and move around...  He doesn't seem to be quite so bothered this time around like with DD, but then again he's totally besotted by DD and worries he won't (get to) love this one as much...   ;)

Ha ha he's finally felt them! One or both is quite active when I lie down to go to bed and I actually got his hand on my belly as they were kicking. He got to feel them quite a few times. His whole face totally brightened up.

Aw, awesome!  Wait 'til they really start beating him up - then he'll be in for it!   ;)
