Unable to upload profile photo?

Just updating my profile info as I regularly do, and for some unknown reason, I am not able to upload one of my icon photos that I was always able to upload before.  It is one of the same ones I have used in the past (sheep running in front of Coniston Water) so I am inclined to think there is a problem with the site rather than the photo?

Try sizing it down.  If it's too big it won't load.

Thanks - it's already sized to avatar/icon photo size, as it's the same one that I have used numerous times before for this same purpose.

I had DH look at it & we tried doing it on two different browsers.  No joy.  It appears to be a website issue?

Ah well - I decided to go back to the Yorkshire flag, as I didn't have to upload anything to do that.  It bugged me that I took away the Christmas Bumble (uploaded back in November) & I couldn't upload anything to replace it, and I didn't want to be 'Blank'. 

It would act like it was uploading (really small pics too!) & then there wouldn't be anything there. 

Mrs. Robinson, How did you get the photo to load? I've never been able to add a photo. That is why you see the ugly red X on my profile  I've tried so many different size photos and nothing has worked.

Jupy, I don't see a red X for you! 

1) Click on Profile (on UKY red toolbar) to view your profile

2) Click on Forum Profile Information from the menu that appears to the left

3) There should be choices for you to add a Profile picture:  either a pre-fab one from a menu selection the website offers you, to input an URL for a photo, or to upload a photo from your computer files.  Only the last option doesn't appear to work - not for me at least, not sure if it is still working for others.  I went the URL route for the Yorkshire flag.

I have fooled around with the different setting and uploaded several different pics of my own but all I see is the red X when I do that. The only time I saw anything other then the X is when I used one of the pictures already listed (it was Speedy Gonzales  ) on that page.

Interesting Andee....I guess my fellow UKY'ers are never going to find out what I look like. I just may have to go back to speedy then.

And then the usual options for chat, allowing you to block somebody, etc.

No red X, no white question mark/blue background, none of that.  I wonder if what we see for her is browser-related (??) when no picture is available.  But I've looked on both Opera and Firefox and don't see those things on either!

When I tried to upload my photo, the profile was showing as if there was an image there but nothing was there.  (And yes I know there's an image there now, but it's not been uploaded.)

Mrs. R, are you using Firefox?   Dur...I reread the post.

I don't see anything either. I am using Firefox.
