End in Sight. Hoorah!
« on: March 29, 2010, 11:37:58 AM »
I had a scan today and they've booked me in for inducement for the 9th of April, exactly 37 weeks. Hooray! I'm so freaking glad. My OB was laughing as I was so excited about it. She said she's never seen someone so happy about being induced.

And the girls seem to be doing so very very well. They're 5lb 6oz and 5lb 9oz. At the rate that they're currently growing they could quite possibly reach the 7lb mark in the next two weeks. Which is a huge relief for me as I'm really hoping for a couple of normal sized babies and ones that don't require time in SCBU. It's a real possibility that they won't even need transitional care and they can come into the normal baby ward with me after delivery.

I'm so happy. If I could move my massive belly around I'd be dancing.

Thats great news! Enjoy the rest while you can! Don't have sleep regret like I did with my first (I didn't sleep enough before he came)

However, at the moment I have a 3 week old sleeping in a chair, and a 4 year old laying on the sofa watching Wall-e...how long will it last!

Good luck!!!!

Yay! Congratulations!  I'm so happy for you (and a tad bit jealous because I can't wait to meet my little boy and have AGES to go!). I can't wait to see their beautiful faces on here in a few weeks, so post some pics when they arrive! :)

Thanks everyone. I'm so excited and I've been on cloud nine all day. I'm so happy that everything is going so well and to have a date to fix on makes me relax a bit.

That's great Ashley! Have you been sleeping any better lately?

Yes and no. I can now at least get to sleep but I wake up about every half hour to turn around and the new development is the girls are moving up into my ribs, so I'm unable to get into the positions that were once comfortable. I sleep propped up on about 5 pillows, so I can't sleep on my sides anymore and I get backache when I sleep on my back all night. So not very restful nights but I nap nearly every day and when I'm not napping I'm resting a lot. I don't leave the house often these days, so I don't have need for a lot of energy. I don't feel sleep deprived.

I can't wait to see their beautiful faces on here in a few weeks, so post some pics when they arrive! :)

Totally. I think I'm going to be one of those moms who takes a gazillion photos of their babies. Isn't that what digital cameras are for?! :)
