Reserve place to watch World Cup?
« on: April 22, 2010, 12:55:52 PM »
My husband's birthday is on 11 June, so we would probably do our celebration on 12 June as its a Saturday.  However, I've just realized that England v USA will be that night and know he wont want to be anywhere other than somewhere showing that.  So I wonder - does anyone know of any places (in London) that allow you to reserve space for a group to watch a sporting event? (basically to guarantee and table and seats).

TIA!

It won't be too difficult to find a pub showing the games

Thanks, but I wasnt looking for a "pub to show the games", as most any pub with the rights to it will show it.  I was looking for a place that would accept a reservation for a table or area to watch the game.  All sorted.

moreover, where can we watch this sort of epic clash amongst the comfort of fellow Americans??  I live in Birmingham and I'm having a tough time fathoming going to Sports Cafe or really anywhere sporting my USA shirt.  I can't find any other Yanks in this city (and I run a softball team!!) much less a watch party for the World Cup
