Travel prices for Spring 2011

My daughter has been talking about coming to the UK from California next year some time.  I started browsing around for ticket prices and found it really difficult to book next March.  Most places simply would tell you repeatedly to try again.  I found on Priceline.com fares for $877 RT.  However when trying to book these flights, this is one I got...........





What the heck is going on here?  What is happening next March?

Airlines ususally release bookings 3-6 months in advance.  I have found it virtually impossible to book a year out.

When I was trying to book my flight with Expedia it kept doing that to me...it would tell me one price then when I go to book it, it would jump up a huge amount. 

I had to switch sites.
