Hi Everyone,
Okay, Okay, I get it, so I guess you want to know what happened on that fateful day of Tuesday August 17th.
Well here it goes:
We stayed at a hotel directly across from the doctors office. We could actually see from our hotel window, the doctors front door. 7am the first guy showed up....poor thing, he was on his own.
Anyway, we left the hotel about 755am, there were only about 5 people in front of us, so it wasn't so bad.
8am, filled the paperwork out for the doctors info, hubby was called in at around 830am. 930am he comes back and said am I ready to go. He didn't have to get any jabs because he had went to the doctors in July to get them done, so no money loss there.
about 945am, we shared a cab with another guy to the US Embassy, when we got there we took a ticket payed for the postage and continued to sit for about 45 minutes. A nerve racking 45 minutes I might add. The place was packed, it was for the people who have to get that visa to go on holiday. Anyway, we were called up, he asked for this that and the other. Then he told us to have a seat and we will be called for the interview. So, we must have waited for about 15 minutes, then we were called up, he then asked for this that and the other, the he said "Well, if your medical is okay, welcome to the USA". He didn't ask us any questions or anything. It might have been because we have been married for almost 5 years, and have 2 kids, so they thought it was pretty legite. Oh well, I wasn't complaining thats for sure.
Well that was our day. Easy Peasy.
I hope everyone else's day goes as easy as ours. We just signed the papers for the house. The movers came to remove our belongings today. Adrians last day at work is on the 10th of September, and hopefully we are off to the states on the 20th of September....YEAH!!! Everything seems a bit sureal. I have been waiting for this for a long time. I have a wonderful hubby, who has worked so hard at getting us over there.
Well that is all for now, I will still be posting of course, everybody has been very helpful, and we really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Mel
