I'm coming over next week, just for 9 days, to visit my boyfriend. We're getting "officially" engaged on that trip, and working on plans for our US wedding in November, after which I'll be applying for a settlement visa to join him in the UK.
I've got a letter from my employer stating that I am employed, in what position, and when I'll be back at work. I've also got a copy of my apartment lease agreement. There's also the receipt for the park rental in November.

And, of course, my return tickets.
Being that it's a short trip, do I need to worry about additional docs, such as financial records? Also, how do I present the documentation that I do bring? Do I just walk up to the IO, waving it in front of me like a white flag, or should I wait for them to ask if I have any? My boyfriend is concerned (and I am too, a bit) that having all this paperwork could seem suspicious in and of itself.
