Yup we are all in the same processing boat. that website updated not even a day ago i think. prior to that it did say 18.

its nice to know our documents might be nestled and stacked on a desk some where becoming paper best friends.  ;D

lol, thats too funny but so true!  The internet has made such a close connected world. Who knew you would get to know the personal story of the others "in line" with you. :)

I was a super perfectionist--I labelled everything, made a contents and inventory page and organized everything from start to finish in the order of importance. I wanted to make things as easy as possible so that there would be no delay. I did everything without the help of a lawyer and I'm praying and hoping. This is worse than waiting to hear if I made into the universities I applied for about 6 years ago...and here I am back again at that same stress level!

I understand that the UK is having loads of trouble at the moment with sham marriages(link below)--as my fiancé so lovingly pointed out(he's waiting patiently in the UK)--I wish that there was an express lane for serious people in love and one for the shammies--do you think they have a suggestions box somewhere? lol I hope that this recent report isn't going to slow us down even more!!!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-12804182

I was the same way!!  everyone was laughing at my huge binder with dividers and label tags sticking out everywhere. Someone even said "wow, thats some serious business!" I was almost nervous it was too big. I thought, man.. they're not going to want to pay for the shipping to get it back to me! lol

As for the sham business, what a shame!!!  But I think its pretty obvious who is a sham and who is not. If the relationship is real, there is most likely a pretty clear trail and lots of evidence.  I think they have seen enough to tell right away who's for real and who is sham. Well, lets hope anyway!

Today is my 18th business day... I was hoping I'd get an answer today but not too confident anymore. Will keep everyone posted.

Have a good day everyone. Hope you can stay busy and keep your mind distracted.

Your gonna check your email one day, and that long awaited craze of an email is gonna be there sayin (1) looking you right in the face, glancing right at you in they eye. We as of people may have some trouble opening it at first you know. We may possibly have to go outside and smoke a few cigarettes or something before we deal with it. Its stressful.

i've always envisoned myself getting it at work, and screaming for joy disturbing all of my cubicle neighbors, and walking around using my finger guns going "pow pow pow SEE YA"
yeah i'm excited to go.....

Well, its nearly 4pm here and no news today.
I'm not going to lie, I am quite gutted. As most of you know, the UKBA NYC website said the average time was 18 days, up untill the day before my 18th day was up then it changed to 30!!!
Thats just such a hard blow. My whole life is on hold  :(  Feeling a bit discouraged guys.....

My whole life is on hold  :(  Feeling a bit discouraged guys.....

i totally understand how you feel. anymore any activity i try to find to busy myself just leads me to looking at clocks, and counting days. Lucky for me (or maybe not) i have to be out of my apartment by the end of this month. so i've got a big project to keep me busy.

but for the life of me, 8 hours a day in a cubicle just drives me up the wall with checking of the email.

just gotta kick back and wait. i wouldn't use that suggested website as anything but... a suggestion. with all the offices merging, its bound to add turn time. Now time to find our patience!

i'm feeling like an adult beverage......

Keep your head up all, we're all in this together. My documents were received by NY consulate March 9th (non-priority), so we're definitely all around the same time frame.

Looks like we will all be getting some good news around the same time!

I've herd some people on here saying they received phone calls from consulate on Saturdays, how does that work?

Well.... I have just recently emailed world bridge because I am very worried I messed up big time on my application ( I didn't realize that you were supposed to declare ALL traffic offenses when they asked if you have any criminal convictions- I mistakenly "assumed" it meant big time traffic offenses like hit and run- DUI- and such)  anyways.. thats for another discussion..

But I did contact Worldbridge to see what I could do BEFORE they think I was trying to deceive them ( NOOOO WAY would I attempt that) and the response I got was..

"WorldBridge Service has contacted the visa section on your behalf and received the following response that they will contact you once the application is with an entry clearance officer to be processed."

which means, an Immigration officer hasn't even looked at my application.

I received email confirmation that they had received my application and documents March 1st.

So for those of you in line with me, it seems this is where we are at (non priority).

I am praying for us all!! Think positive!

I hope all works out ok blackcat, my Fiancee sent our application on 15 th March, email received on 16th March, sooooo, we are well behind you.
Seeing the processing time go from 18 days to 30 days was disheartening, but I am positive, we will all get what we seek :)
