I don't know about that price deal, maybe someone else can help, but your application certainly was sent, so don't panic.
Oh i totally understand, I'm 25 living with my parents too during this process. NOT EASY, ill miss them, but not easy. Plus being away from my fiance for two monts and still counting....again, Not easy.
Try to control your emotions hehe, your family is worried too. What i did was simply read like a thousand testimonies specially in this forum and saw that people went through this and your not alone at all, and is good to share this experience with people that understand.
I hope you calm down about the signature thing cause that's the least u need to worry about.
God luck and keep us informed! :)

Pretty much done with worrying about the signature. Now I'm just worrying that I filled out the wrong damn form. I definitely paid $200 less than everyone else. I just checked the ukvisas.gov.uk site and it says the visa cost should be around $1300. Dear god. So much for giving up cigarettes...I'm smoking like a chimney and it's too damn hot outside to be smoking as much as I have! lol

That form is fine!!, is settlement, so for your spouse application is the correct one. If is not, someone can correct me but Im sure thats the one.
Again, im not sure about the price thing, someone else might answer your doubt, or maybe u can call or send an enquery to worldbridge, they tend to respond this kind of simple questions fast.

Are we allowed to swear on this board? Because...I'm totally shitting bricks. Trying to find other things to take up my time and thoughts but unfortunately, I've been living and breathing "visa application" bologna for 7 months and it's all I can think of.

I don't know what I would do without UK-Yankee!

Just looked at my bank account online and I was charged $1149, plus 22.98 for a 'foreign purchase fee.'

Perhaps the exchange rate is good now?

Anyway, glad to see there are some other twenty-something women living with their parents while awaiting the big move...I'm in a single room with my 1 yo here until we leave in September....going nuts!  [smiley=juggle.gif]
In 900 years of time and space, I've never met anyone who wasn't important.

Well, the fact you were charged the same as me makes me feel better!

It's nice knowing that we aren't alone! I can't wait til I can be one of the "been there, done that" folks on this board!

I paid $200 less than it said on the site and have my visa and nothing was said, I think they must feel nice some days and give people a discount!

It's got nothing to do with the exchange rate.  I was charged $1149 instead of $1349, the rates are showin in dollars on their website and there hasn't been that big of a fluctuation in the exchange rate.  I'm not complaining though!

They don't use the daily exchange rate, there is a consular exchange rate that is set periodically. It must have changed recently but the website hasn't been updated.
Arrived as student 9/2003; Renewed student visa 9/2006; Applied for HSMP approval 1/2008; HSMP approved 3/2008; Tier 1 General FLR received 4/2008; FLR(M) Unmarried partner approved (in-person) 27/8/2009; ILR granted at in-person PEO appointment 1/8/2011; Applied for citizenship at Edinburgh NCS 31/10/2011; Citizenship approval received 4/2/2012
FINALLY A CITIZEN! 29/2/2012

The exchange rate hasn't changed enough to account for that disparity.  I expect once they discover this error, they'll charge you the remainder.

I'd suspect that too, one month on though and still no charge for me.  Don't really care too much, it's only $200 overall.

It's weird though, why are some people being charnged 1349 and some 1149, people both before, after an inbetween mine have been charged 1349 and yet me and the other poster on here paid less.  I suspect someone must have to type in the amount each day at UKBA and someone has typo issues.
