Just got my confirmation today that my visa is being processed as Priority Settlement. According to the US Postal Service, they received it a week ago, and I finally got the email today. In total, if you count the day it was actually dropped off, it took 5 working days to get that email. Now here's hoping for an approval.
Surprisingly, WorldBridge is tryong to be helpful. I had an issue where my application envelope that had the Priority Service information on it had been stuck in another envelope by the US Postal service and I was worried my application wasn't going to get processed as Priority. I emailed WorldBridge before really thinking about it (and before emailing the consulate directly) and this was their emailed response:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for submitting your email enquiry. In regards to your question, we would like to let you know that due to the nature of your request it is being escalated for detailed research.
Please be informed that we understand the importance of your issue, and we strive to respond as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
Very sincerely yours,
WorldBridge Service
A huge surprise to find in my inbox this morning. I don't know if they will actually do anything, but it was definitely a change from the more common lack of response or canned response.
