This is a good point in time to remind all new approvee's that when you get your visa MAKE SURE YOU CHECK IT FOR ERRORS! As they MUST be addressed BEFORE you enter the UK: http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=57518.0

And if I've missed anyone CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congrats Rebotting!

And I agree with Weby 100%.

Remember to check your visa for any errors before booking any tickets!  If you need to correct something, it could take several days to do, and you don't want to miss out on your flight, or spend more money trying to change the date!

It seems like a lot of eyes see this particular post so I was wondering if anyone here knows the likelihood of getting a response back from the LA Consulate complaints when using their complaints email address and how long it normally takes them to respond? I'm probably taking a stab in the dark here but I'm going crazy trying to make sure they know my application is Priority Settlement. Thanks everyone!

Hang on in there nickiboo.  You will be fine and there really is no feeling like it.  I emailed them and just kindly asked them if Jesse would be likely to receive the visa by this weekend because of our revised wedding date and asked for some guidance.  24 hours later we got the acceptance.  It's worth a try.

Just got my confirmation today that my visa is being processed as Priority Settlement. According to the US Postal Service, they received it a week ago, and I finally got the email today. In total, if you count the day it was actually dropped off, it took 5 working days to get that email. Now here's hoping for an approval.  [smiley=anxious.gif]

Surprisingly, WorldBridge is tryong to be helpful. I had an issue where my application envelope that had the Priority Service information on it had been stuck in another envelope by the US Postal service and I was worried my application wasn't going to get processed as Priority. I emailed WorldBridge before really thinking about it (and before emailing the consulate directly) and this was their emailed response:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for submitting your email enquiry. In regards to your question, we would like to let you know that due to the nature of your request it is being escalated for detailed research.
Please be informed that we understand the importance of your issue, and we strive to respond as quickly and thoroughly as possible.

Very sincerely yours,

WorldBridge Service

A huge surprise to find in my inbox this morning. I don't know if they will actually do anything, but it was definitely a change from the more common lack of response or canned response.

This was up on the Worldbridge site today. WebyJ can you tell me how this pertains to those of us who applied in August? And is this a standard for priority? Thanks! What I really need is a crystal ball!

They probably just got a lot of complaints emails about booked flights so it is a reminder to people not to make plans as these are the current processing times and that will not change just because they already went ahead and presumed.
