I am on day 31 of processing. Hoping the UK consulate in New York will not take any longer than 40 days.  Good luck to all of you who are waiting!!!
I'm right behind you on day 30! Waiting on NY too. Good luck everyone!

edit: I guess technically I'm now on day 31, as business day 30 has been over for an hour.

Thank you for the welcoming. I hope everyone hears something really soon too. And where is that quote from? "These pretzels are making me thirsty" Seinfeld? If so that's hilarious!

It is absolutely Seinfeld. :) I wanted to focus more on the importing, and less on the exporting.

It is nice to know that I am not alone; there are a few of us waiting for NY to process our applications. I do hope one of us hears something soon! Here's to day 32!

Hello all my people who dont know who I am because I read on here every day but never signed on to the website until today. Why? I GOT MY VISA APPROVAL EMAIL JUST RIGHT NOW!!!!  I didnt want to post before because I was bitter and sour from the waiting and didnt want to moan on here so I followed other peoples processing times and it helped, a lot.  Here is my timeline:

Chicago office
Online Application July 20
Barometrics July 22
Chicago received my application and got my received email July 27
Visa issued today September 14

I want to also tell everyone my weak points on my application so that you dont worry too much.

My husband and I filled out the application naming my mother in law as the family member we would stay with. AFTER I submitted it online but before my fingerprints appointment, she changed her mind! (She is not on my Christmas list) so along with our application we had to write a letter stating we did not lie but she would not put us up and we are both planning to work and will rent a flat online and have a friend go see it for us before we arrive. I thought for sure we would get denied because we have no certain place to live, we are both still here in Florida so we have no jobs to go to. I showed our bank account and a copy of my 401K savings which wasnt much, just like 4 grand in dollars...but I guess it was enough for them! I guess I should also mention this is a marriage visa and we have been married 5 years (next Tuesday is our anny in fact, way to celebrate!!!!) I am so happy I could poop a jar of glitter!!!!

WebyJ thanks for all your posts, you have calmed down a very feisty very bitter stranger for the past month and I love you for it.

So 35 business days, Chicago. Based on other people who recently got their visas this is the average time it is taking.

I am so excited to be able to post on this thread now, I feel like I've graduated - and the visa in hand will be my actual degree!  A PhD in stress management  ;)

Online app submitted Sept 10
Biometrics given Sept 13
Overnight docs FedEx to consulate Sept 13
FedEx confirms delivery Sept 14

Let the waiting game begin!

My biometrics were done August 5th, got everything in the mail that afternoon. They got it in the mail on the 9th, but didn't open it until the 13th (I know cos I tracked it through the mail, so I know they received it then). I'm now officially on day 22, as day 21 just closed at 5pm. I'm hoping a decision is made soon, or that they would post August numbers on the website. July was a decent improvement over June, but I want to know August now to see if it slowed down again lol. Good to know I'm not alone in this game of limbo!

Good Luck MLS!

I'm in NH as well! Just got my spousal visa approval last Tuesday on the 27th day of processing. Have my one way ticket now and ready to fly on 9/28.. a month behind the original schedule. Wishing you a speedy approval! The longer it takes, the more the leaves start to change, and the harder it will be to say goodbye to our little state :)

EmmJayye,
I'm hoping to leave on the 28th also!  Already have the ticket, because when I left England the last time it was the same price for a one way ticket as it was a round trip - so we decided it was worth a gamble, as we wouldn't really lose anything.  I booked a ticket for the evening of the 28th.
Hope to join you on that day!!!
Congrats on getting your YES and green light, I'm very happy for you ...  ;D

Awww....shucks  :)

Make sure that when you get your visa that you check to see that it should have the 'KOL Req' endorsement so you can apply for ILR after you arrive & pass the Life in the UK test. Also remember to check it for errors.

But most of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!
