I also received only my originals back - they kept all copied stuff, but the important things are back to me!

That's fine.  There was a thread a while back about that happening to others.  As long as the information is all there and accurate, you're good to go.  

ETA - My visa is the same way too; not all the info is exactly lined up.

Not everything is returned to you.

Anything specifically addressed to the ECOs will not returned.  Nor will the application or biometrics sheet.  For me, they also kept the contact records we submitted, and I am vaguely recalling that they also kept the certified copies of my sponsor's passport and birth certificate.

I received my visa today at 12:30pm!!!!! I am super happy! I think I may have waited the longest out of everyone on here. I had a previous refusal and was granted my settlement visa for an unmarried partner after 47 days of processing from the NY consulate!!!! Keep your hopes up even if you wait longer than 45 days! 

Thank you everyone for your support. A huge wait has been lifted off my shoulders

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum...we're at day 51 (business days!) with the Los Angeles embassy.  We got our acknowledgement on July 26th.  No information or inquiries from them at all.  The acknowledgement email we got from them said to contact Worldbridge at 50 days if we hadn't heard anything...that was pointless.  We just got an email back saying that settlement processing can take 12 weeks.  Anyone else having seemingly long wait times with Los Angeles?  Oh yeah, and today was our planned date for travel.  

They opened up priority processing 3 weeks after we applied.  <sigh>

Yes, I know just how you feel!  

I'm currently on Day 15 of my waiting period with Los Angeles - and we purchased Priority.  I've been nervous all along but now am absolutely sick with worry.  Has anyone heard of Priorities taking longer than expected for any other reason than the obvious - which is that they have to look further into our application because it is not straightforward?  We've racked our brains and can think of no reason why our application is not straightforward and are certain we had all the required documents.  I sent an email to Worldbridge who of course told me they can't help.  Is there anything at all we can do?  If they were looking into our app further, wouldn't they have the courtesy to let us know that it would take longer than 15 days?  

Any helpful advice would be very much appreciated!
