Got mine today -- both my spouse settlement visa and my daughter's stamp "Certificate of Entitlement, Right of Abode"!  So 47-48 days total through the NY Consulate.

Yes, I know just how you feel!

I'm currently on Day 15 of my waiting period with Los Angeles - and we purchased Priority.  I've been nervous all along but now am absolutely sick with worry.  Has anyone heard of Priorities taking longer than expected for any other reason than the obvious - which is that they have to look further into our application because it is not straightforward?  We've racked our brains and can think of no reason why our application is not straightforward and are certain we had all the required documents.  I sent an email to Worldbridge who of course told me they can't help.  Is there anything at all we can do?  If they were looking into our app further, wouldn't they have the courtesy to let us know that it would take longer than 15 days?

Any helpful advice would be very much appreciated!

Did you label your envelope like they said to on the directions?

I sent mine off, wish me luck. :(

Yep, it was labeled on the outside packaging as well as on the folder that held all the documents.

Good luck!  As far as I can tell things are really starting to pick up again in general, so you ought to be fine, Littleheart :)

I was hoping you'd already boarded a plane and just didn't tell us  ;)   They probably are just now catching up (we have the slower consulate for some reason).  I hope you hear something back soon!

Just a thought, have you counted 15 calendar days or 15 business/working days?

Aw thanks, Ringspun.  Nope, still here.  I hope you are right, it really does seem that there's a bit of backlog in LA, so I hope that's the only reason!  Thanks for the encouragement :)

And Ajanjig - it's 15 working days today.

AND Congratulations Jlstorer!!!!!  ;D ;D

Our lawyer emailed worldbridge in accordance with the instructions on the processing email. They sent us a stock automated reply that had nothing to do with the query our Lawyer sent. He is going to send a fax to the LA office directly, but we have to wait for him to get back from business in Europe and that will be a week on Friday. Either we'll get a decision in that time or he'll email.... whichever comes first I guess.

I'm sorry you've had to wait so long, Fehupixie :(  I hope in the future they implement a system which allows for communication.  It's just gutting when you don't know what's going on.  Hopefully your lawyer will be able to move your process along upon his return!

Don't email WorldBridge, they're useless.

Use the complaints email for your assigned consulate, address it to the Entry Clearance Manager be polite, provide your VAF application number, passport number etc and give the information about when you received your confirmation email and how many BUSINESS days have passed since. You should hear something then.

For the appropriate email you can consult this thread: http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=57518.0
