Does anyone know anything about Korean cooking?

Do you know what you would call this type of pot?



I read that it is called a Sin-Sul-Lo, but I'm wondering if that is an old-fashioned term and there is a more modern name, or just a different name (or different spelling) for it.

I don't know off the top of my head, but my mother knows a fair bit about Korean food and cooking. I'll ask her later when she's home.

Is that like a Shabu Shabu pot?

I know this is kinda late, but just in case you haven't found the answer you were looking for...It's a cooking pot used in Korean Royal cuisine from way back in the day. 신선로 or sinseollo pronounced shin-sol-lo but I've also seen it spelled the same way as you mentioned as well The soup or stew you make in it can either be called by the same name (sinseollo) or 열구자탕 (yeolguja tang). Now it seems it is more like a novelty rather than an everyday cooking utensil. Having lived in Korea for a total of about 8 years throughout my life and having a Korean mom all my life, I've never had it...though maybe I should lol. Hope that helps even if it's eons late.
