Any folks out there in the Salford/Manchester area?  Especially anyone who might care about things like the mid-term elections in the US and/or higher education?  If yes, those would be two great reasons to get together over a pint.

Hiya, I haven't paid much attention to politics in the US lately, but I'd still love to meet other Americans nearby!  We live 20 mins north of Manchester in Rossendale, but DH's family all live in Salford so we actually visit there quite often.  Hopefully some other adopted Mancs will join in?  The first two weekends of any month are better for me to get together, simply because we get paid on the 1st and after those two weeks we're usually pulling out the penny jars lol.

Hello Ida-  Fellow Americans in higher ed in Sheffield.  We are definitely keeping up on the election and certainly would be interested in exploring Manchester more.  We would be open to a meet up in Man/Salford so long as it is public transport accessible.
