Sending goods to the UK
« on: October 12, 2010, 10:00:50 PM »
I'm sure this has been asked, but I couldn't find it. What can't you send from the US to here. The post office told my dad no food items, like canned pumpkin, salad dressing or peanut butter or other food.
They just wanted to send me a few things, told him they didn't have to. What can they send?

People have sent me honey and olive oil as well as dry things like mac and cheese and Cheetos.  There's no reason why your dad wouldn't be able to send you things.  They must just have been mistaken at the post office.

I think so to, as dad is clueless about these things as well.  I was mad at mom she's never sent anything overseas so she has no idea what to do either.  She sent me a few shirts that I forgot ans well she put down each shirt was worth $10 same with the few other things she enclosed. They thought the value was to high so I had to pay 25pds to get my box because of that. One of the shirts was 5yrs old, hardly worth that much.

My friend sent me over Atkins bars and shakes, Hydrogen P, ear drops and some other things.  I'm thinking your dad was told wrong.

Thanks so much for that!  Wow, they are expensive on there!  I just bought the 4 pack shakes here in the US at Target for $4.63 and on the site you sent me, they are $11.17.  Maybe I should pack some in my suitcases next week.  lol
