Oh, they're both lovely! I've fallen behind a bit and never did post an old/new photo. I'll get right on the texture theme tomorrow, though!

I think we have two themes... old/new and texture.. shall we do both?

Beautiful pics, vnicepeeps! Lovely compositions on both shots and very good examples of the texture theme.  ;D

I'll let everyone catch up with the old/new theme and texture theme before I announce a new one.  ;)

Erm, so, it looks like I have a bit of catching up to do...Here's what I have for the past SEVERAL themes.  I know this sort of defeats the purpose of taking photos weekly, but for some, I did have the theme in my head when I took the photo...so it counts, right? (I've made them small-ish so this doesnt take up too much room! lol)

Gap- a gap between the lines on the road, and gap in the bottom line of paint

Three Colors-I'm starting to love this camera and it's Macro feature!-red, green, and a hint of yellow.

Corner- the corner of a courtyard counts, right?

Light and Shadow-the shadows made my 5'4'' self look SO TALL! :o

White on White-I really  hate that I can't paint the walls :(

Kiss- whenever I pass this, I smile  :-*

Warmth- looked warm to me!

Christmas-Santa and his sleigh ;)

Texture- i think the wall, striped bed spread and crocheted afghan are enough texture for one bedroom...how about you?

Woo hoo! Now onto Old/New!!  :P

WOW! I love all of those! Great job! I loved how you interpreted Gap and Kiss, especially. :) Also, I love your warmth photo!  :D

Great pictures, PickledSakura! The kiss one is brilliant, but I think your 'three colours' one is my favourite! Just lovely.

Here's my feeble attempt at new/old. Some old family photos on the table in the sitting room:

I did a bit better at texture. Here's my jumper:

... and some lichen and moss I took photos of when we went for a walk on Bodmin Moor on Sunday:

(sorry they're so big!)

Yowza! Those are big, Chary!  :o

I love those last two! Very much my style, I love close-up natural texture shots. I did a whole portfolio of lichen photos in college. :D The composition on the third one is just brilliant. I love the way it draws your eye from left to right and the selective focus is in just the right place. Gorgeous!

It's been a while, so I think we've probably had all the old/new and texture photos we're going to get. Can we have a new theme, Jewlz?  :)

I'm not sure how others will interpret this week's theme, but I took pictures of familiar objects in unexpected settings. For instance, shoes hanging from a wire:

And a cat on a boat:

And a Golden Syrup tin used for sugar in a café:

Chary, I think these are perfect! I'm having a hard time choosing a favorite :)
