6Month visit Visa-return visit

Hi just a quick question, my partner came to uk to visit me at end of january till beginning of july, i would like her to come back over to celebrate christmas and new year and stay a few months again ( her work is mainly seasonal over summer so her employers have no problem with her being away) I know the rules are you can only visit 6 months out of a 12month period, now that will officaly be 1st january if you go by exact weeks so do you think we wold have a issue with immigration if she came alittle early? She share rents a appartment and has a letter of her landlord and work stating her ties to the USA. she has never overstayed here and has visited twice here.
