Hi all.
My British husband and I recently moved to Maidstone, Kent (his hometown) after spending four years attending college in Chicago.
I'm originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and am finding life in England a little different than I expected. I've visited twice before, once when we got engaged, and then a year later when we came back for my sister-in-law's wedding, but neither of us had been back to the UK for at least 2 1/2 years, so we've got some adjusting to do. We're also expecting a baby in June, so I've got lots of lovely pregnancy hormones to deal with, along with the homesickness.
A friend of ours that we met here recommended this site to me, and I spent a good few hours poring over discussion boards last night and feeling comforted that I wasn't the only American wishing she was at home.
Thought I'd make my "official" first post and say hello!
