It was funny too because DH sometimes gets bored at work & snoops the forum to see what he'll be having for tea that night, so he saw the thing about the creamy bacon chicken penne thing.  Then I texted him & asked him to pick up a spaghetti (red) wine on his way home from work, to which he responded - Are you sure you don't mean a white wine?  Lol!  Fooled him!  ;)

LOL!  ;D ;D

We are having smoked mackarel fillets with dill new potatoes and salad.

Chili, though I've really got a hankering for either Chinese take-away or Italian.

Had a pretty big dinner today of roasted chicken breast with mashed potatoes, braised spring cabbage, and roasted parsnips. So tea is just a bit of smoked salmon and salad for me with some cucumber salad on the side, and pizza and salad for DH.

Sunday roast (pork) with veg, etc.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering

That's how the light gets in...

We tried cooking a whole chicken in the slow cooker (no added water! it works!) today and it was awwwwwwwwwesome. We'll definitely be doing that again - after 5-6 hours, the whole thing just fell apart. We had salsify, jerusalem artichokes, and carrots with it.

And now the chicken bones, veg ends, and dried-mushroom-water from yesterday are back in the slow cooker making stock for tomorrow. :D

My absolute favourite way to make a "roast chicken" - 90% of the time this is how I make roast chicken.  I'm so jealous!!!
