You guys are reminding me of a guy I dated in senior year of high school who thought he could play guitar but he really couldn't.  He knew a few chords but if he wanted to switch from one to the other he had to pause to reposition his fingers.  He would often try to sing to me.  So awkward.

I feel like the two songs EVERYBODY knew how to play in middle/high school were Seven Nation Army and Blink 182 LOL and it would just be replayed over and over unless you were more talented

I think I know who you are talking about, black guy with a black wooden flute who can't play.  I think I see him near the IMAX.

Do you ever see my friend Jean Noel?

He's great, and I got him to play at my birthday party last year.  He played for hours and he knows tons of songs.  I see him near the IMAX as well but he plays other places as well.

I haven't noticed your guy but I'll keep an eye out.

I'll have to pay more attention to the wooden flute guy. (I know this is going to sound snobby, but....) As a musician, and a musician who can play the flute, I try to walk past him as fast as I can. ::)

That's not snobby at all.  I absolutely hate buskers who can't play and are just trying their luck.  It's like an obvious insult that listeners can't tell.  Bad playing is okay if I'm in a good mood , but making it up really gets me going.

Haha I don't even think it necessarily makes us super young. My oldest sister is like 11 years older and she really likes the white stripes and blink and stuff. I got a lot of music from her (and my other sister and dad) and she got a lot of music from me.

I have just about had it with Debenham's.

The other night I tried to order some stuff on their flash, online only sale.  Since it was online only I wasn't able to shop in store so I thought I'll get 2 sizes of the skirt I wanted since I'm less confident about my size in that line (I measure between two sizes).  Their online payment portal wasn't working so I called customer service and placed a phone order.  Fine right?

Nope.  The blazer I ordered was correct, but the skirts were wrong.  Correct sizes, wrong products.  I had wanted a black flared suit skirt and they sent me a pencil skirt with a slit going halfway up--I can't wear that to work.  So I returned both to the store (which was a faff because they didn't include a receipt in my package) and reordered the correct one over the phone.  Couldn't get the sale prices in store so I had to trust the person on the phone.  I made SURE that not only did he have the correct item number, but that he was seeing exactly what I was seeing.

THEY SENT THE WRONG SKIRT AGAIN.  I just got off the phone with CS for the third time.  The guy isn't even sure that the skirt pictured on the website exists.  He's 'escalating' it which I know is just something that CS people here say to get rid of customers.  Apparently they'll contact me in ten business days but I am so so mad.  And I'm really upset too, because I hate British fashion, and I hate shopping here, and the one skirt I've found that could be work appropriate that isn't completely ugly to me might not even exist, even though it's photographed on the debenham's website.

Inconvenience. I feel like I've been spoiled back home even though I grew up in a lower middle class house. Like right now, all I want is a few foil ballons, filled with helium, to welcome my husband back from his deployment. Back home, you can pop into Kroger, or even the Dollar Tree and get em. Here? It's like looking for a unicorn! Oh you can find the foil balloons in plenty of places, but will they fill it? No. No offense, but that feels like a half assed job. May be because I live in a "quaint" middle of nowhere town. Ugh. What do people do here? Keep helium at home?! Don't get me started on parking....

Have you googled places around you for balloons? Only asking because I didn't realise we had two places in our village that would do balloons (as they were shops I never really needed to go into). They blow them up and everything!

Argos sells the tanks if you have one.

And yeah, I'm one of those loons that buys a tank for everyone's birthdays.   ;D
