Sad.  So very sad.  Like I was 'til I got my little bottle of treasure from the Pass the Parcel.  I'm going to need to top up soon.  I've been trying to pace myself with it, but sometimes only naproxen will do.
Lmfao.

I put that in there.

Don't forget, you can still get it on prescription here.  :) And in Feminax Ultra https://www.feminax.co.uk/en/feminax-range/feminax-ultra/index.php

9 tablets per box?  I suspect they're pricey.  Do you know if there's a generic counterpart I could ask for?  I love my generics.  Or I guess I'll just ask my GP to prescribe it for me... I'm in Wales, so prescriptions are free.  Wheee!

Get the prescription, not our fault it isn't properly OTC in the UK!  :)

Nothing is properly OTC here... Everything is so expensive! Not being able to buy in bulk means the markup is huge. :(

It's not that I use a lot of medication, but I resent paying premium prices for it when I do.  And I like to have a stash on hand for the occasional times that I need it.

I know!  And I appreciate you every time I reach for that bottle.

I'm 100% with you there. I don't use medicine daily beyond my allergy meds, but when I need it I don't want to pay a fortune. Getting a script for cocodamol meant getting 4x as much for about the same price! I was all about the generic/store brands in the US. Most of my vitamins are swanson brand as well!

Where would we be without naproxen?  :)

I'd be happy as Larry. Haha. I prefer Ibuprofen.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

On a totally diferent note, a recruiter asked me to do a SQL test today.  of course he said "It should only take a hour if you know your SQL".  The instructions actually said you could work on it for 48 hours!

It was 8 really fiddly questions, each of which could have easily taken an hour if you had to do it perfect, like at work.  Even worse, it was the same tedious , fiddly crap on each question , just repititous tediousness with some hard twists thrown in.  I eventually got tired of doing it and just wrote a summary of how I would apprach the problem on each one.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

Geez. That's pretty annoying! I'm ecstatic to finally be heading the right direction and their test only took 30 minutes. (contract received today, tentative start July 2!)

Related: my husband was once asked to write an app for the company over a full weekend. He turned down that interview!

Medical update.

Finally had my specialist appointment today. What a different experience from my GP!

She has reordered all my labs, which I had taken today, and I should have my iron infusion appointment by the beginning of next week plus for good measure, I'll be having an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and a colonoscopy.

So relieved to finally be in the specialist system!
