The father of a friend from grad school is from Yorkshire, but we both lived in Woonsocket.  He moved there because of the mills in the 60s.  Of all places.

Another Mass born and bred here.. I grew up graduated in Medfield.. Lived in Medway before moving here to Scotland in 1999. Relatives still in Mass and on the Cape..
Don't forget that there is more to the UK than just England ;)..
There is Scotland,Wales and Northern Ireland as well :) Just thought i'd mention it :)
When i decided to come here .. it was Scotland or bust for me.. I had noooo desire to move to England .. I had always dreamt of and wanted to live in Scotland.. had been to differant parts of UK on holidays. My gran was born here in Scotland and I say for me it was in the blood :)
Enjoy the forum. Its a very freindly helpful place..
Kay

My cousins live in Medway now (originally from Holliston) and my uncle worked as a high school teacher in Medway (science, I think).   ;D

Kaylesh - I'll have to check my address book and get back to you. I can't remember, but I want to say that it's the Millis side.

Ophinky - my uncle lives in Cumberland...on America St.

Wow...it really is getting to be a small world.   ;D
