I just sent off my application yesterday with priority processing and didn't include this new English language form.  I thought since I was an American citizen, it would just be waived.  I'm not sure what, if anything, I should do now.  Should I fill this out and overnight it to the consulate to go with my application?

Aren't United States Citizens exempt from this? (I hope so, I knew nothing about this form...)

 Being a national of a majority English speaking country. Nationals of
Antigua and Barbuda; Australia; the Bahamas; Barbados; Belize; Canada;
Dominica; Grenada; Guyana; Jamaica; New Zealand; St Kitts and Nevis; St
Lucia; St Vincent and the Grenadines; Trinidad and Tobago; United States of
America are exempt from the English language requirement. The evidence
required to show that you are a national of a majority English speaking
country is proof of your nationality such your passport. NB this exemption
relates to nationality / citizenship, not residency – for example, holding a US
‘green card’ would not exempt you.

Ok Peeps. We all know US Citizens are exempt from the requirement but have a read over the form...it asks you specifically 'Are you exempt from this requriement?' If yes How?. It doesn't say that if you're exempt you don't have to complete the form. It says if you're exempt then tell us how.

I would recommend all those who have not yet submitted to include the form.

My hubby has also just submitted his VAF4. We/he completed the form online on 30th Dec, had his biometrics on 5th Jan and we/he posted it with settlement priority processing yesterday. We weren't aware of this form, so we didn't include it. There's nothing we can do is there? Just wait and see if they reject, ask for it and/or if it kicks us out of priority processing.  :(
