Hello There!

Hello there!  My name is Elizabeth and am currently living in Newport, North Carolina but will eventually make the big move to England.  At the present time, my fiance comes to visit me as often as time and money allows....it's extremely expensive and not to mention difficult to not be in the same space with each other.

I found this forum though a friend of mine that is going through a similar situation and suggested that this place would be a very good place to start.  Could someone please help me start the process of obtaining a visa.  How do I get one and who do I contact?

I know that I must sound extremely ignorant but want to do this the right way and know that most of us are going through similar circumstances which makes it all the more personal and sweet.

I'm not one of the experts on here, but I spose the first thing to do is decide if you want to get married before you go over there, or go over there as a fiance. Then you will know what visa you will have to look into Lots of people are here to help and I suggest going through the Visa forum as well once you sort that out. Lots of luck on your journey and welcome !!!!

I would have a look over the visa boards and know your plans first before figuring out visa's...There are fiancée and spouse but I would take a gander over there first to get some basic info ;-)

Hello and welcome!  Loads of us came over here as fiance(e)'s and spouses.  Have a look on the visa board for new updates on the visa process, people going through it and what their concerns are.  That might help you evaluate.  Otherwise, another good place to start is on the UKBA website.  That will give you the basic outline of what you need to do.

Hello and Welcome to the boards.  This is a great site.  There are lots of experts on here when it comes to all the Visa issues.  They helped me out lots of times when I was getting ready to submit my spouse visa application.

Where will you be settling over here in England?  When do you plan to move over?  LOL more questions LOL.  Just curious is all.
