Anyone tried meetup.com?

I have several Canadian colleagues at work and someone just started today and she knew someone that has been working there for a while! They met through meetup.com. They said there was a big Canadian get together in London! I have heard about this group before but never tried it or looked into it.

I have looked into it but I can't seem to find any meet ups in my area!  :(

Yup - there's a ton in London.  Just went last night to a gathering and had a great time.  It was actually hosted by a uk-yankee person.
