So the good news is the girls don't have chicken pox.

The bad news is that they have hand, foot and mouth disease.

We're positive the doctor had misdiagnosed the girls as all the symptoms point straight to HFMD. It doesn't matter though as there is nothing they can do for the girls, they just have to ride it out and thankfully they don't seem bothered by it at all.

Jon, on the other hand, is. He's caught it and it's really painful for him. Thankfully I seem to be keeping healthy enough.
There are two things in life for which we are never truly prepared:  twins.

Wow - that stinks, Ashley.  :(
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

Ugggh no good Ashley. Hope everyone feels better soon.

My sister got HFMD from her kids too - she said it was no fun!

Yep, schools and nurseries are indeed little germ factories.  And it's not just the children who get sick either - even with using antibac gel on my hands after wiping noses I still catch every cold going around at my playgroup.

Yes!  The first couple years I taught little ones I caught everything under the sun.  I think I was ill more often than I was well.  After that I never caught anything at all!  Really!  For about 8 years until my own children were born I averaged less than one sick day a year.

But Ashley, I realize none of that is consolation to you at all because you're the one with sick babies, and that's misery on many levels.  Hugs to you  [smiley=hug.gif] and I hope your little girls and your husband get well soon.
