Northwest Get Together
« on: February 25, 2011, 07:19:07 PM »
Hi All--
Well I am willing to give it a try organising a get together again. I have to admit there hasn't been much success in the past. My Date ideas are Saturday March 19 or Sunday March 20. I have set up a poll-- please vote for up to 2 locations and 1 date. If you choose other please put your suggestion in a post.
Hopefully we can get a lot of interest. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Helena

I'd love to go- I might have to bring little man if my hubby can't watch the kids though.
We stole countries with the cunning use of flags. Just sail around the world and stick a flag in. "I claim India for Britain!" They're going "You can't claim us, we live here! Five hundred million of us!" "Do you have a flag …? "What? We don't need a flag, this is our home, you bastards" "No flag, No Country, You can't have one! Those are the rules... that I just made up!...and I'm backing it up with this gun, that was lent to me from the National Rifle Association."

Great! Glad to see so many interested! I have to admit I through Man City Centre in the mix cause it seemed like a good place to meet, but I don't know it so will have to take suggestions/ do some research to figure out the best meeting place.

Also I have messed up-- I can't do Sat the 19th so needs to either be Sunday 20th or the next Sat, which is the 26th-- hope this doesn't mess anyone up!

I am changing the poll adding Sat 26th and taking off the 19th-- I completely forgot about a work commitment-- sorry!! Please add a new vote for these amendments.

I'll still come out on the later Saturday, Helena! ;D I was thinking either Arndale, Picadilly Gardens(mainly because I'd get off at Man Picadilly), or by Lincoln's statue on Brazennose St. Just some ideas. ;D

I can make it on the 26th. I will suggest some places but I am new to town and don't know too many places yet. Looking forward to the meet up.

I vote Manchester City Centre and the 26! I did the poll but forgot to vote for the date.  :)

I am very interested but I will only be able to go if it falls on the weekend of the 26 so wont get my hopes up until the date is confirmed.
