So much has changed!
« on: March 03, 2011, 02:42:08 PM »
I first posted on this forum in 2004 when I had one child with one on the way.  Well, we never did move back to England and now I have four children!  :o  ;D

We're still considering moving back to the UK simply for family reasons.  I have no family here.  No one at all.  And my DH's entire family are all in the same area.  Our four children are my inlaws only grandchildren and they miss them terribly.  I grew up without aunts/grandparents/cousins/ect and I remember how much I promised myself I'd never do that to my children.  Employment isn't an issue as Dh's company would let him work from England remotely (he's a programmer).

That's us in a nutshell!  Still weighing the pros and cons.  :)

Welcome back to the forum.

I have to say it's nice to be near family, especially with kids.  When I first moved over hubby and I spent so many weekends visiting his family that we decided it made more sense to move back to his hometown of Coventry than stay where we were in Bedfordshire.  Now that we have a daughter and baby number 2 arriving any day now it's even better to have my in-laws and grandparents-in-law just a short walk away.
