Hello there, I joined this forum a few weeks ago and have found it very useful, I am a British Citizen and my Fiancee is from Kentucky, she filed for her fiancee- settlement visa last Thursday, had the biometrics taken 2 days ago, then sent the whole application off to New York, she has received an email today confirming they have opened the application, and organized  all the supporting Documents for review by an Entry Clearance Officer,  so, now we wait, we are sooo excited , I hope to be posting some great news in due course  :)

Time Line :
Met January 2007, on the Internet .
Flew out to USA November 2007 to meet,
She stayed here in the UK on a visitor visa for six months 2008, got engaged :)
I flew to USA for visit 2009,
We filed for Fiancee visa March 2011, it was issued 4 weeks later.
She flew here May 13 Th 2011, we married August 8Th :)
Applied for FLR ( M )  online 25/09/2011 . posted documents   26/09/2011.
Received FLR Biometric Residence Permit 20/10/2011

We met in Tokyo through friends when we both lived in Japan.

Last year we moved to Thailand, got our first apartment together, got jobs with the same employer (!), didn't end up killing each other, got married, and decided to move to the UK to settle down.

London, here we come!
