My parents are renovating their bathroom in the States and want a shower/bath screen like the kinds that are common in the UK. They've searched and searched and cannot find a US distributor for these. They've found lots of UK and Australian manufacturer and distributors, but they won't ship to the US. So, they've decided to order one in the UK, have it shipped to us, then we would ship it on to them in the States. Time is not that important -- they've not had a shower in that bathroom for 29 years, so no rush how.
I've checked a few freight forwarding companies, but have not gotten much info. I'm guessing that they have minimum weight/prices that they will accept, and a shower screen would be much below their lowest limit. I've also thought about using a MailBoxes Etc. to package and ship the screen. They claim to be able to ship anything, anywhere in the world. I've used them in the States to ship things and have been very pleased with the service.
Any advice? Any options that I've not thought of yet?
