WOOT WOOT! So excited!
I'm posting it here because I don't want to post on my FB. I want friends and family to see the pictures as they happen and realize where we are
So basically my husband got a couple of days off while the kids are in the states visiting family with their mother. At first I checked Edinburgh, then my husband suggested York and I got the prices.
And then I thought, "well just how much more would it be for Rome?" (Rome is where we registered for our honeymoon registry and got a number of gifts).
And I researched it for about a week and finally booked it! So happy! My husband has always wanted to go to three places. Rome, Egypt and Greece. But he never thought he'd ever get there. And it just makes me so happy that he gets to, not only spend time in Rome, but we are also taking a day trip to Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii! Another location he always wanted to go but never thought he would.
We are going for a quick city break but now I'm all nervous and am pouring over Italian lessons LOL. He is no good with languages, but I am, so it would all fall to me to be able to get us around. I know lots of people speak English in Rome but its still a good thing to do. At least I have Spanish to fall back on as well, in case they speak spanish but not English. I finally get to send thank you notes LOL.
