The questions regarding Levothyroxine
« on: September 19, 2011, 10:38:37 AM »
Hi all

I noticed a question on here about hypothyroidism medication Levothyroxine earlier in the year about how once they finished their US pills and started on UK ones they didn't feel well and if they have different fillers in them?  Well I just thought I would add that they do have different fillers in them.

I always ask for Goldshield Levothyroxine.  I get bad headaches if I take a brand called Actavis.

GPs think they are all the same but pharmacists are the best ones to ask.  If you looked on thyroid discussion forums people in the UK are always asking about different brands and how come they feel ill on the different brand given to them.

Hope this has been useful.

I agree with this. I take Actavis with no side effects, but I was once given a different brand and felt the difference right away.
